The project combines creativity, education and maritime culture \u2014 values deeply rooted in Baglietto\u2019s heritage. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Organized by the <strong>Officina Baglietto<\/strong> educational programme and promoted with the support of C<strong>onfindustria La Spezia<\/strong>, the local <strong>Education Authority<\/strong> and the patronage of the <strong>Municipality of La Spezia<\/strong>, the initiative took shape as a <strong>creative contest<\/strong> open to primary and middle schools across the city. The project forms part of the international celebrations for <strong>World Boating Day<\/strong>, the 23rd May.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The sea \u2014 a defining element of Baglietto\u2019s identity and history \u2014 was the central theme of the competition. Through art, storytelling and imagination, students were invited to explore the cultural, environmental and human value of the maritime world. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The contest, which concluded today with the final award ceremony, was divided into two creative categories:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>My Sea of the Future \u2013 Art &#038; Sustainability<\/strong>, dedicated to primary school students, encouraged children to express their vision of the sea and reflect on the importance of protecting it through artistic language and creativity.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Sea Stories \u2013 Narrative &#038; Imagination,<\/strong> designed for middle school students, challenged participants to create original stories inspired by an imaginary book mysteriously discovered inside the shipyard, turning the sea into a space for adventure and storytelling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Thirteen classes<\/strong> participated in the initiative, producing <strong>nine original projects<\/strong> spanning illustration, installation art, audio storytelling and video. In particular: <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 Piajet Institute classes 3B and 2C collaborated on the illustrated story <em>A Bottle of Thoughts<\/em>;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 Due Giugno School created <em>The Day the Sea Spoke to Pietro<\/em>, an audio poem accompanied by digital illustrations;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 Mazzini Middle School\u2019s class 2C developed a logbook-inspired narrative titled <em>Grandfather;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 Garibaldi Primary School\u2019s class 4D produced a collage artwork titled <em>Our Sea<\/em>;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 Anna Frank School\u2019s class 1D presented the illustrated fantasy tale Next Stop: <em>Opukasandra \u2013 The Shipyard and the Magical Journey;<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 Cervi Institute\u2019s class 3B created <em>A Fantasy Marine Adventure<\/em>;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 La Pianta School involved classes 2A and 2B in the collective artwork <em>Clear Sea, Mirror of Sky and Dreams<\/em>;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 Dante Alighieri School\u2019s class 5B designed a seahorse-shaped installation titled <em>Ipposcarto<\/em>;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00b7 Formentini Middle School\u2019s class 2G produced the video project <em>Fragments of Infinity<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The jury \u2014 composed of representatives from Baglietto, the Municipality of La Spezia and Confindustria \u2014 awarded joint first prize to <strong><em>Ipposcarto<\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>Fragments of Infinity<\/em><\/strong>, recognising both projects for their originality, creativity and strong interpretative approach to the contest theme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Second prize went to Next Stop: <strong><em>Opukasandra \u2013 The Shipyard and the Magical Journey<\/em><\/strong>, praised for its imaginative narrative and visual storytelling inspired by a fantastical underwater adventure.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Third place was awarded to <strong><em>Clear Sea, Mirror of Sky and Dreams<\/em><\/strong>, a symbolic artwork created using seashells to represent the importance of preserving the marine environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The winning schools received a cash contribution to support the purchase of educational materials, rewarding the enthusiasm, creativity and commitment shown throughout the initiative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cThe quality and emotional depth of the projects genuinely exceeded our expectations,\u201d commented Raffaella Daino, Head of Communications at Baglietto. \u201cThe students demonstrated remarkable creativity, sensitivity and storytelling talent.
